Vintage Handmade Folk Art Dolls

These unique dolls come from my mom's huge doll collection; but due to a move I must downsize, otherwise, I would continue to keep them.  They stand 7 inches tall and he carries a load of firewood and a 1 inch basket of seeds. The basket appears to me to be made of some sort of seed pod, perhaps whatever a pignut grows in.  They are in excellent condition, especially given their age.  The only marks are handwritten tags as shown in the pictures and Mom probably got them in the 1970's or '80's.  The heads are made from pignuts (whatever that is) and the arms are pipe cleaners. They stand up well on their small wood stands.  They've always been displayed away from heat and light in a smoke-free home after Mom got them.  I do not see any flaws other than a fading of their hand drawn faces as you can see in the pictures.
