    Description

    Antique Railroad Switch Broom Chisel End.  This would be on the top end of a wire 'broom' that
    were u
    sed for cleaning railway grooves by roadways or cross over areas, also ideal for recessed tracks in railway roundhouse.
    It measures 20" long and has a 1 1/2" slightly curved fairly sharp edge.  The wood handle is in rough condition but remains intact.  The steel sleeve around this tang tool has some cracking but remains solid.  It's very lightweight, weighing just 11.2 Oz.  It's whistle clean and has been lightly oiled for protection.  I thought it was an early bark spud, and it could be used for that for sure.  Make this nice and early railroad collectible tool yours today!
