Simplex 24a railroad jack. Manufactured by Templeton Kenly & Co. in Chicago Illinois.
The 24a model has a 15 ton capacity and 13" lift. It was the perfect lift tool for the railroads, when repairs were necessary en route or at the round house.
This item is a throw back to an era when things were made to last. Hand forged pivot pins, missing cover and plate welded onto lifting armature, other then that the jack is fully operational.
