Offered today is this unique and very well made 18k yellow gold brooch. Likely from the 1960's. The design resembles a sea urchin and definitely has that mid-century atomic look. This is the larger version of this pin. Measures 1&1/4" in diameter at the widest. About 5/8" deep including the pin back. Weighs 12.6 grams. The gold is solid, not hollow so this little brooch has some substantial weight to it. Features a sparkling white diamond measuring just over 3mm in diameter which makes it .10-.15ct. Stamped 18k on the inside back with a faint hand inscribed number. Great texture, depth, and detail. Overall excellent condition. Please enlarge the photos for detail and email with questions.
