Vintage MA Taffeta Silk Coat, Bonnet, Romper Set & Sweater Bonnet Set.    This auction is for a vintage silk taffeta baby doll coat that has a matching bonnet and a matching romper.  Also included is an older vintage wool knit crocheted sweater bonnet set.
The coat set has a remnant of a Madame Alexander tag on the romper.   It looks like someone cut it off at some point in time.   The set is a salmon pink color.   Coat has blue embroidery on the collar and has a smocked front.  It fastens in front with three square type snaps and has a MOP button over one snap.  I believe there should be another button, but is missing. Coat has a little fading in back but is not too noticeable.  It measures about  8.5" long and about 6" across underarm to underarm laying flat.   Sleeves are about 4.5" long and opening at wrist measures about  1 7/8" across laying flat.
Bonnet has a poofy type crown with lace at face edges.   It fastens with a ribbon and a  square snap.   Bonnet lace has tears.  It fits a dolls head that is about 10.5" - 10.75" around.
Romper is sleeveless and has silky loopy edging.  There is a ruffle at hip area.  Elastic at legs has stretched,  Leg openings also have silky loopy trim.  A ribbon flower adorns waist front.  Bodice is lined.   Romper fastens in back with a square type snap.  Romper is faded, front is lighter.  Cut tag is on back of romper bodice.  Front has two tiny holes.   It measures about 7" from neckline to crotch.  Waist measures about 6" across top laying flat.  Leg openings measure about 4" stretched.  Romper measures about 8" from shoulder to legs and about 9" across hip area(ruffle)laying flat.
The set could use a proper pressing or steaming.
The sweater set is done in a lacy crochet pattern, made from ecru wool yarn.  Sweater and bonnet have yarn ties.   Sweat measures about 5.75" long and about 6" across underarm to underarm laying flat.  Sleeves measure about 4" long and about 1" at wrist, across laying flat.  Bonnet fits a dolls head that is about 10.5"-10.75" around.
