Complete Bed Kit
1939 Chevy Short Bed Stepside
The metal parts in this kit are manufactured of 16 or 14 gage steel, according to the original parts. A smooth tailgate is included with this kit. Parts are ready to primer and bolt together. The kit includes hardware to bolt these parts together and bolt holes are provided. The kit also comes with instructions for bed assembly and bed wood installation. This kit does not include the wood bed floor parts, which may be ordered separately or as a wood bed kit. Bed Sides can be ordered with or without Stake Pocket Holes.

Oak Bed Wood
Premium Quality, Grooved, sanded, cut-to-size and ready-to-finish. Our show quality oak is kiln-dried with a thickness of 3/4". Bed-to-frame mounting holes are offset and countersunk for a flush surface. If you would like the Oak Bed Wood without Mounting holes or Hidden Mounting holes, please let us know when ordering.
Polished Stainless Bed Strips
Polished bed strips are very shiny, giving them a "chrome" look. Bed strips are punched with square holes according to the original pattern. Each strip is 1 1/2" wide and 18 gage thickness. Stainless steel is type 430, bright and slightly magnetic. This truck requires 5 bed strips. This set is made like the original with two additional 5/16" holes in the middle of the center strip for a spare tire attachment. Center strip has (6) 1/4" holes and (2) 5/16" holes for spare tire. If you want the set without these holes, Please let us know when ordering.
Polished Stainless Angle Strips
Angle strips are like bed strips, but fit in the corners of the bed along the bed side in stepside trucks. This set of angle strips is slightly curved in the center to match the shape of the original bed sides. Polished angle strips are very shiny, giving them a "chrome" look. Each strip is 1 1/2" X 1" and 18 gage thickness. Stainless steel is type 430, bright and slightly magnetic.
Polished Stainless Bolt Kit
Polished Stainless for Standard Angle Strips, Bed Strips, and Bed Wood with Standard Mounting Holes
Hardware kit includes all the bolts, nuts, washers and lockwashers to install the bed wood, bed strips and angle strips. This includes the bed-to-frame bolts. The bolts in this kit are carriage bolts, which means they have a smooth, rounded head and a square shoulder to fit into a square hole. Polished bolt kits are very shiny, giving them a "chrome" look. This kit is made like the original for the bed with two additional 5/16" holes in the middle of the center strip for a spare tire attachment. Center strip has (6) 1/4" holes and (2) 5/16" holes for spare tire. If you want the kit without these holes, Please let us know when ordering.
