    Description

This is a lovely Antique Thai Buddhist Painting / Drawing (Samut Khoi) on black handmade paper.  This delicate piece folds like an accordion into two equal halves and shows one Primary Buddha illustration and as well as 4 horse illustrations.  There is also Thai script wrapped around the sides of the pages.  I conservatively estimate the piece dates from the Turn of the Century. This Samut Khoi was purchased by my father and myself in Bangkok in the early 1980's when he owned an antique shop in Penang, Malaysia.  We admired these paintings / drawings and actively collected them.  Once mounted, matted and framed this Manuscript would show quite nicely.  Please note the detailed Condition Description referenced above.  The long stem of the flower crosses the middle portion of the Buddha's face - but not appear to be an imperfection.  Please review all pictures prior to purchase
Painting Dimensions: 9 inches wide and 14 inches in height.  Weight: .5 ounces
