    Description

    We are offering a Northern Plains Indian square painted drum, circa 1880-90, made from a wood form with two pieces of rawhide stretched over both sides, adorned with a small quilled ornament. The face is painted with earthy pigments depicting faded designs of an Indian on one side and two rings on the other. Measures 14” x 14” x 3 1/2”. In very good overall condition with a nice old patina. Some breakage to the lacing holding the hide pieces together.  Please study the photos as they are a part of the description.  Fresh out of a Santa Fe collector's estate and offered here for the first time.  Payment in full is expected within 48 hours.  Free local pickup in Santa Fe.
