~1905 Boys Museum-Similar Victorian Jacket, Short Trousers, Eyelet Trimmed Shirt

Victorian Child's Matching Navy Blue Jacket, Short Trousers and
Cream Colored Shirt with Scalloped Eyelet Trim
After much research, we cannot find another child's outfit similar to this very adorable one - except an antique painting of children from c1890 and the Philadelphia Museum of Art had an exhibit of a 1906-1907 wine colored outfit which was almost the same style as this one (the museum's was more embellished & the jacket was rounded off in the front vs squared off like this one).
The exterior of the matching jacket and short trousers are made of what appears to be similar to a velveteen material & are navy blue in color. They have a blue and gold colored trimming and brass-like looking buttons. As we tried to demonstrate in the photos below, both the jacket and short trousers are lined. The lining of the jacket's armpits and going down the sleeves is a different lining material than the rest of the jacket's lining. Both sleeve's armpit linings are the same. The short trousers' front seam has a little purposefully placed slit/opening which has a matching piece of material sewn on the inside of the
short trousers
to "hide" the opening. The photos below will show this well-done sewing. The jacket's left and right sides come together at the neck line and are held together by a metal hook and eye.
The cream colored shirt has a scalloped ruffled eyelet trim going around the large squared off collar and also going down the front of the shirt. The end of the sleeves also have a scalloped eyelet trim going around them. The shirt does have some discoloration and there is a small hole on the lower right front side. In addition, the shirt does not have any buttons - buttonholes, but no buttons. Everything seems to be homemade.
We have the original studio photo of the
child wearing the very clothes that are in this listing. He was born in 1901 which helps with dating the age of these Victorian clothes. Please note that even though we did not pull the shirt sleeves through the jacket sleeves for the photos we took of this outfit, you can see from the studio photo directly below,
the shirt sleeves are certainly long enough to come through the end of the jacket's sleeves to show off the nice trim on the shirt's sleeves.

The clothes are from an upstate New York estate and found in an antique steamer trunk. Because of the 100+ years of storage, the jacket and short trousers do have a musty smell. The shirt is not as bad since we did hand-wash it. However, we did not try washing the jacket and knickers since we are not sure of the material and how to wash them.  Overall, the clothes are in great condition - especially for their age.
The approximate sizes of the clothing items are as follows:
Jacket sleeve length from shoulder down to end of sleeve 13 inches, from armpit to end of sleeve 8 inches.
Jacket from shoulder to shoulder 9.5 inches.
Front of Jacket 12 inches long.
Back of Jacket 9.5 inches long.
Short Trousers inside seem 5.5 inches.
Length of Short Trousers 7.5 inches.
Waist 9.5 inches.
Shirt sleeve length from shoulder down to end of sleeve 12 inches, from armpit down to end of sleeve 9.5 inches.
Shirt chest from armpit to armpit 10.5 inches.
Shirt length 14 inches.
