Description
A rare 18th century Chinese export armorial helmet cream pitcher. It is of the standard form with the front emblazoned with a colorful coat of arms. The arms are of Dawes and Gosselin and date circa 1785. The top rim is painted with a rust and gold pattern highlighted with green dots. The side are painted with colorful floral sprays. The pitcher measures 5 1/4" in height at the top of the handle and 6 1/4" from the tip of the handle to the spout tip. It is in excellent condition with one very small foot rim chip (see photo). The decoration has very little wear and the gold is excellent. It has the history and reference of the service and collectors label on the base. I am able to ship to the continental USA only and combine shipping costs for multiple items purchased.
